Sony Ericsson
Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications offers mobile multimedia consumer products for people who appreciate the possibilities of powerful technology. Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (also widely known as simply SE) was established in 2001 by telecommunications leader Ericsson and consumer electronics powerhouse Sony Corporation. The company is equally owned by Ericsson and Sony.
Through the combined strengths of Sony and Ericsson and by being responsive to the market, consumer behaviour and competitors, our goal is to become the number one player in mobile multimedia products.
Since merging their mobile divisions Sony and Ericsson combined the best technology developed by these two leaders of the mobile phone market to produce an innovative range of phones. The superb P series phones Sony Ericsson P800 and Sony Ericsson P900 perhaps for the first time successfully merged mobile phone and PDA functionality in one device. The traditional bar design is developed within the T and K series while the swivel format is tried in the S series. Sony Ericsson also advances into the clamshell (folder) format with the new Z series of mobile phones.
