Siemens Xelibri 8 Review
Xelibri is a strictly fashion line of phones developed by Siemens. Being a pioneer in this genre starting from 2002 Siemens releases two collections every year.
The Autumn/Winter collection 03/04 from Xelibri conquering the catwalks has the motto "Fashion Extravaganza" and includes Siemens Xelibri 5, Siemens Xelibri 6, Siemens Xelibri 7 and Siemens Xelibri 8 mobile phones.
As fashon phones Xelibri are not designed to be technically bright, althiugh they have all the best features of the current generation of mobile phones, they shine at a different angle. Each and every one of them has a distinctive face, aestetic appeal and excellent and original design thus turning a technical device into a fasion accessory!
All Xelibri phones are intended to be SIM free from the outset, so Siemens have made it extremely easy to get at the SIM card and replace it.
The Siemens Xelibri 8 is an ultimate mobile fashon accessory as well as a mobile phone of course. Designed in a form of a tear drop pendant it is so small that it can be worn as a necklace. The incredibly elegant shape of the Siemens Xelibri 8 rises from the level of industrial design to the level of true art.
Technically, the Siemens Xelibri 8 is a dual band eGSM 900/1800 phone supporting SMS and EMS messaging. Measuring 91 x 56 x 23 mm, 67 cc and weighing just 67 grams it is extremely lightweight and compact. It also has a good 3 hours talktime and 12 days standby time. it also features RS232 and USB Interface.
It has a good 101 x 80 pixel CSTN display in 4096 colours featuring unusual and stylish carousel or paternoster user interface with display themes allowing for further personalisation. The most amazing feature of the Siemens Xelibri 8 is that it has no keypad at all, only a 5 way navikey in the centre. Instead of the keypad it has an extencively developed voice control allowing you almost literally to speak to your phone. To make it even more personalised the Siemens Xelibri 8 comes in Diamond Pink and Silver Glam colour schemes.
On the Mobile Fun side the Siemens Xelibri 8 comes with two games and also supports 16 voice polyphonic ringtones, predictive text input, voice dialling and vibrating alert as well as ringtone download. And in addition to all of these it also has a built-in FM radio.
It is an excellent fasion accessory phone aimed to reflect the glamour, style and originality of the owner.
