Siemens CF62 Review
The Siemens CF62 announced in Q1 2004, and released Q1 the same year is an entry level phone by Siemens designed in Folder format with an external aerial aimed at universal user market segment. In Siemens product line this model stands above Siemens CL55.
The Siemens CF62 is a Tri-band GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz mobile phone supporting GPRS Class 10, with data speed 53.6 kbps data transfer. It also features SMS, EMS, MMS mobile messaging and supports Message Templates and T9 predictive text input. The phone provides internet connectivity with WAP v. 1.2.1 browser and PC connectivity with RS232 and USB cable connection. The mobile also comes with Java™ MIDP v. 1.0 support.
The size of the CF62 is rather average measuring 82 x 45 x 22 mm (78 cc) but at the same time it is quite lightweight, just 85 g. Designed with an innovative loop antenna the handset is available in Cool grey and Cool Cashmere casing. In addition to the normal keypad the handset also provides 4-way navigation key input. With a standard Li-Ion 600 mAh battery the Siemens CF62 ensures up to 3.3 hours of talk time and up to 220 hours of standby time.
The Siemens CF62 has a quite good size 130 x 130 pixels Colour screen as well as an outside blue illuminated alphanumeric display. Being a budget model the CF62 has no built-in camera.
The phone also features Autodial, Loudspeaker Handsfree, in-phone Vibration, call functionalityand supports 16 chords (voice) polyphonic MIDI ringtones. On the Links side it also features downloadable Logo, Wallpaper, Screensaver, Animated Pictures and Mobile Gaming support includes Java ™ Games support. Additional features of the CF62 include Calculator, Currency Convertor, Clock, Alarm, Calendar, ToDo Application, Organizer Functionality.
This budget model is pretty compact and lightweight and also features Tri-band worldwide operation.
