Siemens C65 Review

The Siemens C65 announced in 17th March 2004 and released Q2 the same year is an entry level phone by Siemens designed in Bar format with an internal aerial aimed at universal, style user market segment.
The Siemens C65 is a Tri-band GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz mobile phone supporting GPRS Class 10, with data speed 53.6 kbps data transfer. It also features SMS, MMS mobile messaging and supports T9 predictive text input functionality. The phone provides internet connectivity with WAP v. 2.0 browser. PC connectivity of the device is supported with RS232 and USB cable connection and with Infrared (IrDa) wireless connection. It also comes with Java™ MIDP v. 2.0 support. It features 3 Mb of internal shared memory for storage, applications and games also providing 1000 entries in phone memory.
The size of the C65 is rather average measuring 105 x 47 x 18 mm (76 cc) but at the same time it is quite lightweight, just 86 g. The handset is available in Blue Shadow casing. It also features optional interchangable CLIPit Covers Premium panels to refresh the look of the handset. With a standard Li-Ion 600 mAh battery the Siemens C65 ensures up to 3.3 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time (charging time - 2 hours).
The Siemens C65 has a quite good size 130 x 130 pixels (7 text lines) CSTN Colour screen features a built-in camera with a rather moderate CIF 352 x 288 pixels (101376 pixels) resolution but in this class such camera is better than nothing!
It alsofeatures Autodial, Loudspeaker Handsfree, in-phone Vibration, call functionality and supports 40 chords (voice) polyphonic MIDI ringtones. On the Mobile Fun side it also features downloadable Logos and Screensavers. Mobile Gaming support includes Java ™ Games support. Additional features of the C65 include Calculator, Currency Convertor, Clock, Alarm, Calendar, ToDo Application, Organizer Functionality and it also supports Voice Memo functionality.
For the entry class phone the Siemens C65 seems to be quite attractive as it combines low cost, with very good standby time, Tri-band functionality ensuring that it will work worldwide, Infrared (IrDa) support, built-in camera, rich polyphonic ringtones plus it is quite lightweight.
