Sharp GX10i Review
The Sharp GX10i is the second camera phone offered by Sharp for the European market. Being the successor to the previous Sharp GX10 this mobile phone has all the functionality of the old handset with many improved and added features and most importantly introducing Tri-band support.
Measuring 94 x 49 x 27 mm, 110g it is a Tri-band GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz mobile phone with GPRS and WAP 1.2.1 support also supporting CSD. The phone has a very impressive standby time of up to 250 hours and 3 h 30 mins of talk time with a standard Li-Ion 720 MAh battery. Mobile messaging includes support for SMS, MMS. PC connectivity via an infra-red (IrDA) port or cable.
The screen is 120 x 160 pixel 65000 colour display unit offering an excellent Sharp clarity and image quality. It also features a small secondary monochrome display.
It has a built-in 352 x 288 (110K) pixel digital camera that is is not so advanced in terms of resolution but on the bright side it features 5 exposure levels and a 2 stage digital zoom with storage for up to 80 digital pictures.
The Sharp GX10i is a well-developed Mobile Fun device as well having polyphonic ringtones (with ring tone composer), PK Game, Collection Hunter, Ice Hockey games pre-installed and a wide choice of downloadable Java games as well as Wallpaper, Digital clock screensaver, Clock and alarm clock.
