Motorola V300 Review
The Motorola V300 is flying above the Motorola V220 as it has a better screen and more memory but is still a bit behind the Motorola V500 as it has no Bluetooth functionality. This clamshell phone is exclusively available on the T-mobile network but Motorola had promised to expand this line with other versions (V301, V302) that will differ only in their design. These versions might be available in other networks or SIM free.
Despite of its slightly TeleTubbiesh look it is packed with features that are amazing for its size! The Motorola V300 is a 95 gram phone measuring just 49x89x25mm which makes it slightly smaller and lighter than most of its competitors. It has a large 176x220 pixels 65K TFT colour screen and a small 96x32 external second screen. It supports a Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 with GPRS(4+2) and WAP 2.0 with 5 Mb of memory for applications and data and a USB PC connectivity.
Fun features of the Motorola V300 include support for Java games and applications, 24-chord MIDI, WAV and MP3 polyphonic ringtones. The Motorola V220 allows peer-to-peer games over GPRS and SMS and it also supports Instant Messaging, MMS, EMS and Nokia Smart Messages, speakerphone and 2min of voice recording.
What makes the Motorola V300 really outstanding is the long battery life. The Motorola V300 lasts for about 8 hours of talktime and over 8 days of standby time.
