Motorola C650 Review
Announced in 2004 Q1, and released Q2 the same year the Motorola C650 builds on the success of the Motorola C550. It is an attractive camera phone aimed at the budget end of the market, and represents a significant improvement over the C350. Its design is based on the same platform as Motorola C380 and both have compatibe sccessories.
The Motorola C650 is a Tri-band GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz mobile phone supporting GPRS Class 10 (3+2, 4+1), with data speed 32 - 48 kbps data transfer. It also features SMS, EMS, MMS mobile messaging and supports Nokia Smart Messaging, T9 predictive text input as well as Instant Messaging, iTAP™ functionality. The Motorola C650 provides internet connectivity with WAP v. 2.0 browser. PC connectivity of the device is supported with USB cable connection.
The Motorola C650 comes with Java™ MIDP v. 2.0 support. The C650 features 1.5 Mb of internal shared memory for storage, applications and games also providing 1000 numbers, 10 dialed, received, missed calls in phone memory.
The size of the C650 is rather average measuring 102.55 x 44 x 19.6 mm (80 cc) and it is quite lightweight, just 78 g. The handset is available in Midnight Blue, Cosmic Universe Blue casing. With a standard Li-Ion 800 mAh battery the Motorola C650 ensures up to 5.8 hours of talk time and up to 215 hours of standby time.
Featuring a 128x128 pixel display in 65,000 colours, a VGA resolution camera, 24 chord polyphonic ringtones, video playback as well as the MotoMixer ringtone editor the Motorola C650 isn't just a pretty face.. it's lots of fun too!
